Located in Great Bend, Kansas, Foxtrot Fibers specializes in locally harvested natural dyes. I grow or gather all of the dye stuffs used on my yarns, whether from my own garden or the Kansas prairies. Bright wildflowers, leaves with secrets, juicy berries, there is a whole world of color hidden around us – exploring and discovering those colors to share with others is my passion.
Foxtrot Fiber yarns are dyed in small batches, and there can be large differences between dye lots due to natural variations in plants, especially wild gathered dyes. If you’re planning a project requiring more than a skein or two, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can work to arrange a special batch just for you.
Foxtrot Fibers fingering weight skeins are large enough to complete an average pair of socks or a small shawl. Lace skeins are large enough for most shawls. I recommend hand washing your finished projects in cool water with a gentle wool wash, and keeping them out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
